Kilwa Ruins Lodge is located in Kilwa Kisiwani, a small island across the water from Kilwa Masoko in South-Eastern Tanzania. Kilwa is 300km south of Dar-es-Salaam on the mainland, close to the Selous Game Reserve.

6 wooden bandas overlooking the sea, all with en suite bathrooms, overhead fans, mosquito nets and outdoor verandas
3 beach-front chalets with 2 air-conditioned bedrooms and inter-leading extra bedroom/ lounge, 2 en suite bathrooms and large outdoor verandas
2 beach bandas, accommodation for 4 persons in 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and large outside veranda
Facilities
Public areas of the lodge are very spacious with dining, bar and lounge area built to wrap around a swimming pool in its center. Also in the luscious garden is a pond filled with freshwater fish for little children to experience the joy of fishing.
The cuisine is excellent! The menu includes freshly caught seafood accompanied with sundowners.

KILWA SEAVIEW RESORT
The Kilwa Seaview Resort (Mbuyuni) set up on a cliff overlooking the Kilwa Masoko Bay.
Accommodation
The accommodation at Kilwa Seaview Resort is in large stoned bandas, mosquito & insect proof, with en-suite bathrooms, and a verandah. The bandas are large and roomy, equipped with fans and 3 to 4 beds ideal for families in African style, all with views of the ocean. Some bandas are equipped with a T.V. and M-Net Decoder.

The Mbuyu Restaurant and Bar are situated under a palm leave thatched roof around a large old Baobab tree, on top of a cliff, facing the Kilwa Masoko Bay & the island of Kilwa Kisiwani with its ruins. The kitchen provides a variety of cuisines specializing on different seafoods.
