Vuma Hills Tented camp is perched above the trees stretching over the seemingly endless wilderness south west of Mikumi National Park, a 4-hour drive from Dar es Salaam.

16 spacious and comfortable tents, all with a rather old fashioned colonial décor, complete with shaded wooden veranda at the front and en suite bathroom facilities at the back. Each tent has a double and a single bed. The tents are mosquito proof and electricity is provided by generator and there are lights and sockets (3 pin square 220 V) in each tent.

The dining room overlooks the swimming pool creating an oasis of tranquility in the dusty hot climate of the lowlands in which to savour the varied and well-prepared meals cooked with pride by the camp chefs.

FOXES SAFARI CAMP
This is the only small, personalized camp in Mikumi and, set up on a rocky kopje on the Mkata flood plain, it presides over the best game viewing area of the park, the Mwanamboga waterhole.
Accommodation
Exclusive camping 'African' style, - 8 custom designed tents with en suite shower toilet and basin; raised on wooden platforms are sited around the rock kopje overlooking the floodplain. All tents have twin beds with mosquito nets and private veranda.

Choice of full English or Continental breakfast; Lunch is a cold buffet with dessert; three course dinner with vegetarian option. Any dietary requirement should be mentioned at time of booking.
Mikumi Wildlife Camp, which is also known as Kikoboga, is at the centre of Mikumi National Park situated just 300 m from the main highway.
Accommodation
12 stone-built bandas provide spacious, en-suite accommodation with verandahs overlooking the plains and nearby water holes. The bands have the added advantage of an additional guest room which makes them particularly suitable for families or groups of friends.
Facilities
The bar is one of the camp's main features, being constructed around the trunk of a huge, indigenous shade tree.
Dining at Kikoboga is in the rondavel-style dining room; on the terrace overlooking the water hole; or in the boma barbecue area under the stars.
Kikoboga has a swimming pool and sun-deck area, perfect for relaxing between game drives, and a raised look-out tower gives visitors a bird’s eye view of the surrounding plains.
