Set in the hills, 11 km from the Park’s Zange gate, the camp is a little more than an hour from the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary where Tony Fitzjohn established Tanzania’s first black rhino breeding program.
Accommodation
Beautifully set amongst baobab and acacia trees, the large, walk-in safari tents measure 10 meters long and are comfortably furnished with large hand-carved wooden beds (or twin beds), wardrobe, changing area, safari chairs and a writing desk. Each tent has an attached bathroom with a flush toilet and hot shower.
Facilities
Babu’s camp provides three delicious freshly prepared camp cuisine meals along with bottled water at every meal. The dining tent offers ample seating inside and out on its verandahs and there is a full service bar set up next to a gigantic baobab tree every night.
Laundry services are available, time permitting.
Electricity is provided by a silent generator from 07h00 – 09h00 and 18h30 – 23h00 daily, which provides lighting throughout the camp and tents.
The Camp is equipped with an HF radio but there are no email or internet services available.
