Paradise Islands – 5 Days
A short stay on this beautiful island in the Indian Ocean, combining relaxation with a chance to learn about the history of the island…or, should we say, ‘islands’, as ‘Zanzibar is strictly speaking, an archipelago. Anyway, the focus here is on sandy beaches of stunning quality, as well as on historic Stone Town, the capital town. Stone Town is a place steeped in history and a tour is a must to learn about its fascinating past. Winding alleys, bustling bazaars, ornate architecture… a really pleasant place for a stroll.
And equally interesting is the Spice Tour, letting you know why Zanzibar is internationally known as ‘Spice Island. After Stone Town, it’s time for the beach, and you will spend the next two days at Nungwi for some relaxation or excellent water sports such as snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, windsurfing, fishing and sailing. This is a formerly ramshackle fishing village transformed into a lively resort, with bars, restaurants and shops.
