Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa is situated in the southeast part of the Tarangire National Park, the home of large elephant herds, numerous other animals such as buffalo and big cats, and over 500 bird species. Between June and October, herds of antelope and zebra pass through.
Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa has a ten-tented Camp that offers a warm welcome with a flavor of some of the original safari camps of days gone by. It is supplemented by Little Oliver’s Asilia Africa, a 5-tented camp a kilometer away and ideal for small private groups who value some privacy.
Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa has ten comfortable en suite tents equipped with indoor and outdoor showers, flush toilets, and room safety. Natural colors and traditional materials enhance the feeling of luxury and relaxation.

The day begins with a choice between a continental breakfast or a cooked affair with bacon and eggs. Lunch is a light buffet for those staying in Camp or a picnic lunchbox for those going on an all-day safari.
Dinner is served as a three-course experience, either inside the dining area or outdoors, with a BBQ being organized once per week.

Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa is to be found in the southeastern section of the Tarangire National Park, near the Silale Swamp – a popular place for wildlife. Kuro Airstrip is the closest, a one-hour drive away.
Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa is open between June and March and is closed in April and May.
Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa welcomes children aged five years and older. A family tent can accommodate four (children under 12 years old must share with an adult). There are no special activities for children, but children will be made to feel very welcome.
Rooms feature en-suite bathrooms with both indoor and outdoor showers and flush toilets. There is a room safe, a complimentary laundry service, and power is supplied by solar and a generator.
Tarangire is famous for its herds of elephants, many bird species, dozens of animal species, and big cat sightings.
The rate includes accommodation, all meals, house drinks, fees for walking safaris, laundry service (limited), game drives, guided walks, night safaris, and transfers to/from the nearest airstrip.

There is basic Wi-fi available in certain areas of the Camp. It is adequate for e-mails but not for streaming and other heavy usages.
Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa provides shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and body lotion. There is no facility for using hairdryers, as electricity is a precious resource here.
Solar panels power the Camp with a backup generator. Electricity is, therefore, available most of the time but can be subject to occasional cuts and voltage fluctuations.
The primary socket type is British BS- 1363 (British Standard). Please bring an adaptor with you.
Guests are always advised to drink bottled water at Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa and use the water in the taps for showers and washing. Use bottled water for cleaning your teeth, too.
There are no fences around Oliver’s Camp Asilia Africa so wildlife may pass through at any time. It would be best if you were watchful when walking around the Camp. Staff is always available to escort you, and you will always be accompanied after dark.
To get the best possible experience, two or more nights are recommended.
