Tortilis Camp Amboseli

Tortilis Camp is situated in a private conservancy bordering Amboseli National Park in southern Kenya. The camp is surrounded by acacia woodland and offers views towards Mount Kilimanjaro.

Guests can fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Amboseli Airstrip in approximately 45 minutes. The road transfer from Amboseli Airstrip to the camp takes approximately 45 minutes. The camp can also be reached by road as part of a Kenya safari itinerary.

The main camp has 16 spacious safari tents. There is also one Family Tent and one Private House located separately from the main camp.

Each standard tent includes a double or twin bedroom, an en-suite bathroom and a spacious private verandah. Exact amenities may vary according to the accommodation category booked.

Yes. The Family Tent has one double en-suite bedroom, one twin en-suite bedroom and a spacious verandah. Extra beds can be added for children under 16, subject to the camp’s occupancy conditions.

The Private House has one double en-suite bedroom, one twin en-suite bedroom, a spacious sitting room and a private verandah. It shares a swimming pool with the Family Tent.

The camp enjoys views towards Mount Kilimanjaro, with particularly good mountain views from the Family Tent and Private House. Visibility depends on weather and cloud conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. The camp has a central dining area where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Bush meals and outdoor dining experiences may also be arranged.

Special dietary requirements can usually be accommodated with advance notice. Guests should advise Easy Travel of allergies, vegetarian preferences or other dietary needs when confirming their booking.

Yes. All guests can use the camp’s main outdoor swimming pool. The Family Tent and Private House also share a separate private pool.

Yes. Massage and spa treatments are available near the main swimming pool. Treatments are normally offered at an additional charge.

Yes. The camp offers a dedicated Family Tent and Private House, and extra beds can be added in selected bedrooms for children under 16. The suitability of individual safari activities depends on the child’s age.

Guests with mobility requirements should inform Easy Travel before booking. The camp is built around a natural hillside, and accommodation is connected by outdoor paths, so the camp must confirm whether its facilities are suitable for each traveller’s needs.

Yes. Tortilis Camp operates entirely on solar power and supports conservation and community initiatives within the Amboseli ecosystem.

Amboseli is particularly known for elephants. Guests may also see lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, waterbucks, baboons and many bird species. All wildlife encounters are natural, and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Two or three nights are generally recommended, providing time for game drives, a guided walk or cultural visit and time to enjoy the camp’s views and facilities.
