As you settle in, you’ll begin to get a feel for the surroundings, with views of the landscape and glimpses of local life along the way. On arrival at your lodge, there’s time to relax after your journey before dinner and overnight.
After breakfast and a short briefing, we set off from Arusha and reach Tarangire in about two hours. As we enter the park, the baobabs and open landscape immediately stand out. We stop for a packed lunch inside, often with elephants not too far away. The afternoon is spent exploring, with good chances of spotting buffalo, giraffe, and more before we head to camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast in Tarangire, we set off towards Ndutu, a drive of about five hours as we pass through the highlands and into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, the landscape gradually opens into wide plains. On arrival in Ndutu, we enjoy a packed lunch before heading out to explore the area, known for the calving season, where large herds gather and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are often close by. Later, we make our way to camp for dinner and overnight.
Today is spent exploring the Ndutu area, known for its open plains and seasonal lakes. We head out after breakfast, with the day unfolding as we move through the area. Large herds gather here, often with newborn calves, and it’s also a time when predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are never far away. We enjoy a packed lunch in the area before continuing into the afternoon. As the day winds down, the light softens across the plains, and we make our way back to camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast in Ndutu, we set off towards the Central Serengeti, a drive of about 1.5 hours as we leave the open plains behind. On arrival, we pass by the kopjes, often referred to as pride rock, before continuing to a nearby hippo pool. From here, we continue to explore, with chances of seeing lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, and more. We enjoy a packed lunch in the area before continuing into the afternoon. As the day comes to an end, the light softens across the plains as we make our way back to camp for dinner and overnight.
Today is spent exploring the Serengeti. We head out after breakfast, with the whole day to move through the plains and see what unfolds. No two drives are the same, one moment it’s quiet, the next you’re watching lions, cheetahs, or herds on the move. We stop for a packed lunch in the bush before continuing into the afternoon. As the sun begins to set, the light turns golden across the plains, one of those simple moments that stays with you. From there, we make our way back to camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast in the Serengeti, we set out on a final morning game drive across the endless plains, a last chance to take in the wildlife before leaving. As we head towards Ngorongoro, we enjoy a packed lunch along the way. The drive takes about 3.5 hours, and as we reach the crater rim, the vast Ngorongoro Crater suddenly opens up below—a moment where you truly realise how big it is. By late afternoon, we arrive at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The crater is rich in wildlife, with chances of spotting lions, elephants, buffalo, and if lucky, the rare black rhino. We enjoy a packed lunch before driving about 4 hours through the highlands and local villages to Arusha Airport. From here, we take a 1.5-hour flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, our driver will transfer you to Nungwi Beach, where the rest of the day is at leisure before dinner and overnight.
