The best time to traverse the northern circuit is tough to predict compared to some of the other circuits, simply because of the different landscapes and the sheer number of destinations in the north. Generally, the north is still primarily a safari destination, meaning that the dry months are your best bet – between June and October.

However, there are a few places that hold up year-round, in spite of the changing weather patterns. Serengeti and Ngorongoro are essentially ecosystems all on their own and will offer incredible sights no matter when you go. However, other places, such as Ndutu, are best viewed in the green season.
