Guests arriving at the charming Arusha Planet Lodge will be delighted to discover an idyllic setting in verdant tropical gardens – home to many vibrant bird species – and excellent views of lofty Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest mountain.
A relaxing swimming pool is a welcome feature of this popular lodge, located ten minutes drive from downtown Arusha City. The friendly and welcoming staff are dedicated to ensuring a warm and enjoyable stay for all their guests.
Accommodation is provided by spacious chalets in an attractive African style, equipped with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mosquito nets. There is also a TV, telephone, outdoor space, tea/coffee-making facilities, towels, and linen.
As well as the 28 regular chalets, there are four interconnecting chalets in a similar style, which are ideal for families, as well as two further rooms accessible by wheelchair.
The Planet Lodge restaurant caters to all, with vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal options available on request. The cuisine is local and international, both prepared to a high standard. A tea and coffee station also provides homemade cookies!
Outdoor dining is possible, and a bar service provides a selection of refreshing drinks to enjoy while you take in the breathtaking views of imposing Mount Meru.
