Aluna Nungwi

The Aluna Nungwi is just outside the center of Nungwi, north of the island. It is calm and peaceful, but the beach is close by, and you can also find some lively nightlife not far away.

Aluna Nungwi is a ninety-minute drive from the airport. It is advisable to get a shuttle to come to the Aluna Nungwi.

Guests on any board basis will have a fresh, continental breakfast included in their rate. But if you prefer, you can book either half- or full board, but please note that these exclude drinks and the city tax of $1 person/night.

Guests can check in to The Aluna Nungwi from 14.00 hours and should check out by 10.00.

Although the Aluna Nungwi is small, there are no fewer than six different types of rooms available. These range from our Standard Pool View, Comfort Pool View, Family Garden View, and Comfort Double/Twin to the Garden Cottage and Jacuzzi Suite Pool View Room.

Rooms at The Aluna Nungwi are ensuite and feature air-conditioning, a dining area, and long, comfortable beds.

The Aluna Nungwi can usually accommodate any special dietary requirements and allergies/intolerances if given advance notice. It is recommended to inform us at the time of reservation.

Unfortunately, the tap water at The Aluna Nungwi is not safe for drinking. Please use bottled mineral water for drinking or when brushing your teeth. 

Yes, The Aluna Nungwi is a very safe place to stay. 

Yes, the following activities and excursions are available at The Aluna Nungwi, some at extra charge. Visits can be arranged to the Jozani Forest or atmospheric Stone Town, with a visit to a Spice Farm or the Prison Island. Guests can go on a snorkeling trip or take a sunset cruise. You can also go deep-sea fishing. The hotel can also organize a village cultural trip.

While there is no spa at The Aluna Nungwi, you can enjoy a relaxing massage. 

Guests can use the pool or take a yoga class at The Aluna Nungwi.

The staff at Aluna Nungwi speaks English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Afrikaans, and Finnish.
