Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp is perfectly located for those visitors who want to make the most of their time around the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. Its position close to the quieter Lemala crater access road allows a quick, early morning descent to the crater floor – ahead of other safari-goers! That’s the best time for game viewing and afternoon/evening.
As for the camp itself, your comfortable tents are accompanied by a lovely communal mess tent, ideal for relaxing on a soft sofa to read a book, have a drink, or check the day’s photos.
Only nine guest tents make up the Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp, so the ambiance is intimate and cozy, while the environmental footprint is light.
Inside each tent, you will discover two queen-size beds and spacious en-suite bathrooms featuring a flush toilet, roomy safari-style shower, and even a dressing area. The camp’s altitude means it can be chilly, so warm duvets, heaters, and hot water bottles are provided to keep you warm.
