Vuma Hills Tented Camp has 16 comfortable and stylish tents. A shaded wooden veranda is out the front, and an ensuite bathroom is at the rear, providing every comfort.
Guests can enjoy sitting outside, making the most of the views from the tents’ raised position to soak up the views. There’s seating and a table for relaxation. For safety, there is a lockable storage box.

Driving to the Mikumi National Park from Dar es Salaam on a paved road takes about five hours. It is six hours from Dodoma and seven from Tanga.
Mikumi is home to a fantastic concentration of wildlife and is the nearest National Park to Dar es Salaam. It is part of the Selous ecosystem and hosts huge herds of Nyasa Blue Wildebeest (not found in Ruaha National Park), buffalo, giraffes, and zebra. Also prevalent are the predators, such as lions and leopards. African wild dogs are another species of very special resident. Birdlife is fantastic, too – look out for the Zanzibar Red Bishop, among the over 400 species here!
