The Ziwani Lodge is small and close to the famous lake. Superb views of the Great Rift Valley are a bonus. Running on only solar and wind power gives the lodge its full eco-credentials.
Inspired design and construction allow guests here to relax in this wonderful location. A sense of peace and tranquility is guaranteed, and visits to see local tribes and to understand their traditional way of life are a must!
Only seven cottages make up the Ziwani Lodge’s accommodation offering. You will find a comfortable bed, mosquito netting, and a fan in the rooms.
A family cottage is available for those visiting with children.
You might not expect much out here in the remote wilderness. But prepare to be delighted by the efforts and creations of our small but talented kitchen team.

It is useful to arrive at the lodge with sufficient cash to pay for extra drinks and staff gratuities. Banknotes such as 5-dollar, 10-dollar, and 20-dollar bills are best. Poor network coverage in the park may mean the card machine is not always working. Most of the time, you can use US Dollars in Tanzania, particularly in tourist areas, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, lodges, and camps. However, we advise having some local currency on you if you want to purchase from a local shop. Major towns and airports have forex bureaus where you can exchange most major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, etc.
