The beautiful Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge nestles in the gentle green foothills of mighty Mount Meru, its grounds occupying part of one of Tanzania’s biggest coffee plantations. A welcoming and homely place, it is a peaceful retreat from the busy city of Arusha.
Before or after your safari or mountain climb, you can be pampered by the friendly, professional lodge staff and take a dip in the lovely swimming pool, cozy up to a log fire, relax on the terrace or walk the grounds.
The 30 Plantation Houses that contain the accommodation are scattered around the original home of the plantation owner, dating back to the early 1900s. Guests can opt for a Plantation Suite or a Plantation Room, each continuing the coffee theme in their stylish décor.
The suites boast terraces, and the rooms feature a verandah; each room type allows residents to relax by a log fire, and each type offers guests both a shower and a bathtub.
Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge has four places to dine. In the 24-hour Bistro, you will find a bar, coffee station, and pizza oven, while the Market Garden is the venue for the lunch buffet, which includes several vegetarian choices.
In the Grill Room, the Chef weaves his magic, offering international cuisine which relies on fresh produce to infuse it with local flavors. You can also take a drink in the Kahawa Coffee Shop.
