All guests at Emerald Zanzibar Resort and Spa in seven categories stay in one of the 250 elegant, modern Suites. A few have a private jacuzzi; a few feature a private pool. Views are from the resort’s tropical gardens or towards the Indian Ocean.

Each Suite at Emerald Zanzibar Resort and Spa features a flat-screen satellite TV, a king-size bed, individually controlled air conditioning and fans, high-speed Wi-Fi, a minibar, a safe, a fridge, and much more. Interconnecting rooms are available.

The Emerald Zanzibar Resort and Spa has excellent on-site restaurants with various cuisines, including the Aqua, for buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Beach Club Grill Restaurant offers seafood and meat grills as a lunchtime à la carte. The Carnivorous Restaurant serves steak and ceviche.

All à la carte restaurants at Emerald Zanzibar Resort and Spa are included in the all-inclusive rate, for all room categories, with additional menu choices at an extra charge. Le Asiatique and Teppanyaki Grill Restaurant are dinner-only, with various Asian cuisines. (Beer and selected wines are included, and premium drinks are charged extra.) Most vacation visitors will fly to Unguja (Zanzibar Island) or the smaller island of Pemba. Most flights from the mainland are from Dar es Salaam and take less than 30 minutes. Some flights start at Kilimanjaro International Airport and fly direct, or perhaps with a stop-off in Dar es Salaam on the way. Guests can also arrive by sea (hydrofoil, catamaran), although air travel is recommended on grounds of speed and safety.
