Guests have two choices when deciding how to get to the lodge, which is situated in the region of Karatu. The first option is to fly to Lake Manyara airstrip from Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport. The airstrip is then only a 30 minutes drive from the lodge.
Alternatively, guests can take a vehicle from Arusha to the lodge, a distance of 165 kilometers or 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Our beautiful lodge is situated very close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and in the nearby Forest Reserve, there are elephants, baboons, buffalo, and sometimes a visiting lion. Over one hundred bird species have been recorded here. Even closer to the lodge, our Endoro River Nature Trails are great for walking and, at the same time, birdwatching and spotting interesting trees and flora.
The cost of a stay will depend on the dates of your stay and the number of guests. Please get in touch with us for prices.
Our rooms are available on a single, double or triple basis.
Free Wi-Fi is available, though only in the main area.
The following can be arranged, some at extra charge: nature trail walks on the Enduro River Nature Trails; a visit to the nearby historic Elephant Caves; a visit to the spectacular 100-meter high Enduro Waterfalls; guided walk along the Ngorongoro Highland Forest Rim; bicycle trip to the local village – perhaps stopping at the local schools, the brick factory or a woodcarver’s workshop, or even a distillery; cultural visit to learn about daily lives of the locals, learn some dances, try the local food, listen to traditional tales; visit a banana and coffee plantation.
Room amenities include mosquito nets, inside and (in triple rooms only) outside showers, an immersion tub, 24-hour hot water, and a private verandah.
Guests are always advised to drink bottled water at the lodge and use the water in the taps for showers and washing. Use bottled water for cleaning your teeth, too.
Laundry service is available at the lodge and is included in the rate.
Yes, with advance notice, we can cater to most dietary requirements. Enduro Lodge will be able to cater to these, and we recommend that you stress your needs on arrival at the lodge.
A ‘tipping box’ is available if you want to give a gratuity and any tips received are then shared amongst the lodge staff. We advise that you make your contribution at the time of your checkout.
Yes, the rooms have mosquito nets. We advise you also to bring your mosquito repellent.
Yes, the Endoro Lodge has hot water showers.
It is useful to arrive at the lodge with sufficient cash to pay for extra drinks and staff gratuities. Banknotes such as 5-dollar, 10-dollar, and 20-dollar bills are best. Poor network coverage in the park may mean the card machine is not always working. Most of the time, you can use US Dollars in Tanzania, particularly in tourist areas, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, lodges, and camps. However, we advise having some local currency on you if you want to purchase from a local shop. Major towns and airports have forex bureaus where you can exchange most major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, etc.
