Enjoying a privileged setting, the wonderful Hatari Lodge is located inside the small but beautiful Arusha National Park. There is nothing better than being close to the amazing Tanzanian wildlife, and nearby Mount Meru, too!
The vibrant colors of Africa infuse the décor here, while the garden offers guests a peaceful haven. The great location of the lodge means a range of opportunities for trips and excursions is available. And the lodge was the location for the 1962 film ‘Hatari,’ featuring John Wayne!

Guests can choose between well-appointed rooms and suites at the Hatari Lodge. The decoration is a delight, and comfort for our guests is always to the fore, with high-quality furnishings, bathtubs or showers, and luxurious bed linen.

Where do the organized treks go to?
Guests can take the full-day trek to the Kitoto Viewpoint (2500m), passing across the savannah and through dense forest and returning via the Tululusia Waterfall. An alternative is a full-day hike with a descent down into the Ngurdoto Crater, with plenty of wildlife to see.
If I choose to do a game drive, where does it go to?
The game drive is within the Arusha National Park, visiting the rock formations, the Ngurdoto Crater, and the Ngongongare Springs.
