Up towards the Kenyan border, the Sinya Concession is the location of Kambi Ya Tembo. Guests at Kambi Ya Tembo will enjoy the spectacular scenery and the towering shapes of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and other peaks. Kambi Ya Tembo is located West of Kilimanjaro, about 50 minutes from Kilimanjaro International Airport and 2 hours drive from Arusha.

Guests can check in from 12.00 hours and must check out by 10.00 hours.

A laundry service is available at extra cost. Return time depends on the weather, as items are washed by hand and hand-dried.

At the camp, credit cards are accepted (Visa or Mastercard), but it is useful to arrive at Kambi Ya Tembo with sufficient cash to pay for any extra drinks and staff gratuities. Banknotes such as 5-dollar, 10-dollar, and 20-dollar bills are best. Most of the time, you can use US Dollars in Tanzania, particularly in tourist areas, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, lodges, and camps. However, we advise having some local currency on you if you want to purchase from a local shop. Major towns and airports have forex bureaus where you can exchange most major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, etc.
