Lake Burunge Tented Camp is a luxury establishment between Manyara and Tarangire, two great national parks. At the appropriate season, the migration passes through. The waters of Lake Burunge itself can be sighted from the camp restaurant.
Only a very short drive from the Sangaiwe Gate that allows access to Tarangire National Park, and the camp enjoys incredible views down towards the Burunge waters, where wildlife might visit for a drink. Inside/outside dining and an inviting swimming pool is just two of the camp’s attractive features.
The 30-tent- and 10-bungalow camp at Lake Burunge Tented Camp is centrally located in Tarangire and provides the best place for some downtime after exploring the huge nearby park.

Lake Burunge Tented Camp is located a short distance back from the shores of Lake Burunge in a natural protected area managed by the Mbugwe tribe. The park gate to access Tarangire National Park is a short drive away.
Arusha is just over two hours’ drive for access by road, a distance of 135 kilometers. If you prefer to arrive by plane, an internal flight will take you from Arusha Airport to the Manyara Airstrip daily (either scheduled or charter). Flights take approximately 25 minutes, and connections are possible to the Serengeti or Zanzibar. The transfer time to the camp is still 90 minutes, however.
Guests can choose between standard tents or bungalows. Rooms are configured into doubles, twins, triple or family tents (4 to 5 guests.)

Guests are always advised to drink bottled water at Lake Burunge Tented Camp and use the water in the taps for showers and washing. Use bottled water for cleaning your teeth, too.
There are no fences around the camp so that wildlife may pass through at any time. It would be best if you were watchful when walking around the camp. Staff is always available to escort you, and you will always be accompanied after dark.
