With the life-giving Tarangire River flowing below, attracting thirsty wildlife, the Lemala Mpingo Ridge maximizes its elevated position to provide great views across the valley, teeming with animals.
Tarangire is huge, yet just a little off the main Northern Circuit. All the ingredients are here for a super safari: rolling hills, savannah, forest, and riverine landscapes. Large herds of elephants are an attraction here, and the park is renowned for its giant baobab trees and hundreds of bird species. For facilities, the main lodge at Lemala Mpingo Ridge boasts a lounge and bar, indoor/outdoor dining areas, a spa, and a pool.
There are just 15 spacious tented suites at Lemala Mpingo Ridge, with views of the valley and admitting the pleasant breezes, so welcome when it’s hot. Inside, you will find a full ensuite, while the outside private deck is furnished to let you relax in comfort.
And there’s more! A private bathtub outside the tent is a fantastic option to relax and refresh yourself after a day’s safari.
Out in the wilderness, what might you expect for food? The camp team will produce wonderful meals for you, starting with delicious breakfasts. These and lunch are available optionally as picnics, which is very useful if you are heading out on an ‘all-day’ safari.
Dinner is another special event; Lemala Mpingo Ridge’s communal areas are separate lounges and dining areas furnished with sofas and a bar.
