From Arusha Airport to the lodge is 100 kilometers or 2.5 hours, and from Kilimanjaro International Airport to the lodge is 60 kilometers, also 1.5 hours.
Guests can choose from standard, superior or two-bedroom bungalows.

Internet (WLAN) is available at the Original Maasai Lodge, although the speed is variable and sometimes slow. It is usually sufficient, though it can be affected by the weather and is unsuitable for downloading large files.

Among the lodge features are babysitting services (at extra cost), a children’s playroom equipped with books, music, DVDs, and a selection of board games and puzzles.
The lodge is constructed in the style of a Maasai village. The lodge staff is traditionally dressed, too. (The Maasai are the local tribe.) Guests can enjoy a selection of Maasai teas with local honeys.
All the lodge’s bungalows are solar-powered. The lodge kitchen uses organic produce from the kitchen garden.
Guests can participate in activities such as donkey rides (for children), spear-throwing, and walks to introduce them to the local medicinal plants.
