Pemba Lodge is just five roomy, rustic, but comfortable bungalows behind a pristine beach by the Indian Ocean. ‘Low impact’ is a key concept here, with fish and seafood from the village fishermen and produce grown organically. And on top of that, the lodge staff are very hospitable, too!
Tranquility is guaranteed at Pemba Lodge; with only five cottages, you’ll avoid crowds. The accommodation is spacious, the buildings constructed from palm trees and thatch, true African chic and in harmony with their surroundings.

With views towards the ocean, the central building combines Pemba Lodge‘s restaurant with its bar and lounge area. Vegetarians can be catered for, and all meals are served in the main restaurant.
Pemba Lodge Breakfast is fruit, a choice of eggs or pancakes with boiled cassava, washed down with juice. Swahili flavors inspire the cuisine, with ingredients sourced locally from the ocean and the organic garden. Lunch is light, but dinner is three courses.
