With a touch of old colonial farmhouse styling and built on a vast 500-acre plantation, the Farm House Valley provides the perfect location for some serious ‘downtime’ after a day’s safari or hiking.
Our central building contains our delightful restaurant, a relaxing lounge, and a spacious terrace for gazing at the extinct volcano of Oldeani. You can take a dip in our outdoor pool, enjoy a drink and chill out. The campfire is lit each evening, and our guests gather to relax.
The spacious and comfortable chalet-style bedrooms all feature a private balcony or terrace, giving views over the garden or the coffee plantation. Each is furnished with double or two single beds and has an en suite shower. For family guests, two rooms are interconnected with a capacity of 5 people.
There are thirty rooms in total. All rooms have mosquito nets, tea/coffee facilities, internal phones, and fans.
Our atmospheric restaurant uses produce from the farm to create memorable meals, ensuring the freshest fruit and vegetables with a low carbon footprint.
Our chef and his team are proud of the positive feedback received from the guests.

Guests have two choices when deciding how to get to the lodge, which is situated in the region of Karatu. The first option is to fly to Lake Manyara airstrip from Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport. The airstrip is a mere 30 minutes drive from the lodge.
Alternatively, guests can take a vehicle from Arusha to the lodge, a distance of 165 kilometers or 2 hours and 40 minutes.
The lodge is situated outside the national parks, so there are no animals in the immediate region. Guests can, however, enjoy the many bird species, as well as trees and other flora.
The cost of a stay will depend on the dates of your stay and the number of guests. Please get in touch with us for prices.
Our rooms are available on a single, double, triple, or family.

It is useful to arrive at the lodge with sufficient cash to pay for extra drinks and staff gratuities. Banknotes such as 5-dollar, 10-dollar, and 20-dollar bills are best. Poor network coverage may mean that the card machine is not always working. Most of the time, you can use US Dollars in Tanzania, particularly in tourist areas, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, lodges, and camps. However, we advise having some local currency on you if you want to purchase from a local shop. Major towns and airports have forex bureaus where you can exchange most major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, etc.
You can enjoy a body or head massage or have a manicure or pedicure. (Note that an extra charge applies.)
Tanzania is a culturally diverse country with many, many different tribes. Each of these has its particular traditions and culture. Some of these tribes, such as Hadzabe, Datoga, Masai, Wairak, and others, can be visited from our property – a highly interesting and educational experience.
