After an early breakfast, you can set out on your exciting game drives. Hippo Trails Camp is focused around a large, elevated communal tent with a dining room and relaxing lounge. And there is a veranda with lovely views. A public restroom tent is near the communal area.
Hippo Trails Camp’s tents are straightforward but with everything you need. Inside, you will find wooden floors with sisal carpets, with rooms configured as either twin, king (double), or family options.
There’s a sitting area with comfortable chairs, a desk, a charging point, and a large outdoor deck. The ensuite bathrooms at Hippo Trails Camp have flush toilets and hot and cold showers with power supplied by solar.
Food is a central pillar of the Hippo Trails Camp experience. Menus are carefully designed, focusing on variety, taste, and nutritional value. The day begins with a breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and fruit juices, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, and eggs cooked to order.
Most guests will take a picnic lunchbox with them on safari, while dinner is usually served to the table and consists of soup, followed by a choice of a main course.
