From Arusha, the journey by road to Lake Masek Tented Lodge is 280 kilometers or between six and seven hours.
If you prefer to travel by air, there are several airstrips in the area (Ndutu, Seronera, and Kusini), although Ndutu is the closest at only 4 kilometers. The flight time from Arusha to Ndutu Airstrip is just under an hour. In high season, there are daily scheduled flights with charter flights also available. Two airports serve the Arusha region; Arusha Airport and Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Lake Masek Tented Lodge has 30 luxury tents spaced apart for privacy. Some have king-size beds, some have twin beds, and some have tripled. Each tent is en-suite, with a bathroom featuring a stand-alone bath and an outdoor hot-water shower. There is a veranda with mesh to keep the insects out and to let the breeze enter to cool you down! Mosquito nets protect the beds.

Included in the rate are your accommodation and all meals, soft drinks, beer and house wine, mineral water, tea/coffee, sundowner cocktail and snacks/finger food during ‘happy hour,’ contribution of US$ 0.50 per guest to the Emusoi Center Educational Project for Masaai women. Premium brand drinks are not included.
There is a safe box with a padlock supplied in every tent.
The following can be arranged at extra cost: private game drives, walking safaris, cultural tours, hot air balloon flights, walks and village visits with Maasai guides, visit the amazing archaeological site at nearby Olduvai Gorge, and birdwatching.
This location is unfenced and open to all the wildlife that wants to visit! After dark, Maasai escorts will accompany you, and your night’s sleep might be accompanied by animal calls such as hippo grunts, hyena calls, or other strange noises!
