This is a wilderness experience, and Mara River Post is unfenced. Wildlife is free to enter, so it is best to be on the lookout. A staff member can escort you if you have any worries, which is mandatory after dark.

Credit cards are accepted (only Visa and Mastercard), but cash is required as the system can sometimes go down due to the remote location.
