Naona Moru Camp

Guests have two choices when deciding how to get to the camp. The first option is to fly into either Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport, stay overnight in Arusha City, and then be driven 335 kilometers or 8 hours to the lodge.

Alternatively, guests can avoid the bumpy Tanzanian roads by taking an internal flight from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport to the Seronera Airstrip, which is only a 90-minute flight and a 40-minute drive from the airstrip to the camp.

Very central and close to the renowned Moru Kopjes, the Naona Moru Camp is well-placed for seeking out the many species of resident and migratory wildlife. This is one of the best areas anywhere for animal spotting, the Serengeti National Park.

Yes, there is an outdoor fireplace, which the staff will light in the evening. You can enjoy a refreshing drink here.

Yes, the camp is powered by solar and a generator, which is adequate for charging your electronic devices.

We can offer the following: one honeymoon suite, accessibility for those of lesser mobility, solar and generator power, wi-fi, and battery-charging facilities.

We can arrange game drives, balloon safaris, guided walking safaris, and family safaris at extra cost.

Guests are always advised to drink bottled water at the lodge and use the water in the taps for showers and washing. Use bottled water for cleaning your teeth, too.

At an extra cost, laundry service is available at the lodge. Please note that as the laundry is dried outdoors, the time for return will depend on the weather; therefore, our service will best suit those staying more than one night.

Yes, with advance notice, we can cater to most dietary requirements. Naona Moru Camp can cater to these, and we recommend you stress your needs on arrival at the lodge.

A ‘tipping box’ is available if you want to give a gratuity and any tips received are then shared amongst the lodge staff. We advise that you make your contribution at the time of your checkout.

Yes, the rooms have mosquito nets. We advise you also to bring your mosquito repellent.

Yes, the Naona Moru Camp does provide hot water for showers.

It is useful to arrive at the lodge with sufficient cash to pay for extra drinks and staff gratuities. Banknotes such as 5-dollar, 10-dollar, and 20-dollar bills are best. Poor network coverage in the park may mean the card machine is not always working. Most of the time, you can use US Dollars in Tanzania, particularly in tourist areas, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, lodges, and camps. However, we advise having some local currency on you if you want to purchase from a local shop. Major towns and airports have forex bureaus where you can exchange most major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, etc.

The camp staff speaks English and Swahili.
