The precise location of Ndutu Wilderness Camp varies, but between December and March, it is in the Ndutu area of the Serengeti ecosystem. Guests can arrive by air, taking an internal flight from Kilimanjaro International or Arusha Airports to the Ndutu Airstrip, which is only a 10-minute drive from Ndutu Wilderness Camp. Note that there are luggage restrictions on flights of 15kg/33 lbs in soft bags (hard-shell bags are not allowed.)
If driving, Arusha is a 6-hour journey. The national parks of Tarangire and Lake Manyara are each about 4 or 5 hours away, with Ngorongoro about 2 or 3 hours, Lake Eyasi 3 to 4 hours, Central Serengeti 2 to 3 hours, Western Serengeti 3 to 4 hours.

This is a wilderness experience, and Ndutu Wilderness Camp is unfenced. Wildlife is free to enter, so it is best to be on the lookout. A staff member can escort you if you have any worries, which is mandatory after dark.
It is useful to arrive at Ndutu Wilderness Camp with sufficient cash to pay for extra drinks and staff gratuities. Banknotes such as 5-dollar, 10-dollar, and 20-dollar bills are best. British pounds and euros are also accepted. Most of the time, you can use US Dollars in Tanzania, particularly in tourist areas, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, lodges, and camps. However, we advise having some local currency on you if you want to purchase from a local shop. Major towns and airports have forex bureaus where you can exchange most major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, etc.
This depends entirely on your proposed itinerary while in Tanzania. But you may prefer to take two or more nights at Ndutu Wilderness Camp to get the best experience of the area and the camp.
Guests can arrange (some at extra charge): game drives, balloon safaris, and walking safaris. Some walking safaris are multi-day events in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, to Empakaai or the Ngorongoro Highlands; please enquire. Trips for experienced hikers up the Ol Donyo Lengai volcano are also possible.
The rate includes accommodation and three daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner.)
