Nyikani Camp Tarangire is a 45-minutes drive from the main Tarangire Gate and a ten-minute drive from the Kuro Airstrip.

As well as having a private veranda, each tent has an ensuite bathroom with a safari-style ”bucket” shower, flush toilet, and washbasins. There is a coffee and tea ”butler service,” room safe, desk, and power extension with a universal adapter.

It is useful to arrive at the camp with sufficient cash to pay for extra drinks and staff gratuities. Banknotes such as 5-dollar, 10-dollar, and 20-dollar bills are best. Poor network coverage in the parking area may mean the card machine is not always working. Most of the time, you can use US Dollars in Tanzania, particularly in tourist areas, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, camps, and lodges. However, we advise having some local currency on you if you want to purchase from a local shop. Major towns and airports have forex bureaus where you can exchange most major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, etc.

There are no fences around Nyikani Camp Tarangire, so wildlife may pass through at any time. It would help if you were watchful when walking around the camp. Staff is always available to escort you, and you will always be accompanied after dark.
