Located just east of the central Seronera, the Serengeti Wilderness Camp offers great access to the best game viewing in Central Serengeti. Our beautiful, tented safari camp is about sharing this great beauty area with the neighboring wildlife.
The camp is intimate, with just a dozen spacious tents and with a low impact on the environment. So here’s your chance to experience a truly magical night in the Serengeti wilderness from the safety of your comfortable safari bedroom.
You have questions, many questions. With over 35 years of experience, we at Easy Travel believe we have the answers.
Arrival is by road or by air. Driving from Arusha, the journey is 335 kilometers and takes 8 hours.
There are flights from Arusha to the Seronera Airstrip in the morning, taking either 90 minutes or 2 hours (with stopovers).
In short, yes! The camp is unfenced, and wildlife has free access, so visits are not unknown. The camp’s super-central location also means guests can make an early start to their daily game drives to get the most from their safari experience.
The cost of a stay will depend on the dates of your stay and the number of guests. Please get in touch with us for prices.
Our tents are available single, double, twin, or triple. There is also a family option.

At the camp, it is useful to arrive with sufficient cash to pay for extra drinks and staff gratuities. Poor network coverage in the park may mean the card machine is not always working. We advise carrying some small denomination US Dollars notes and local currency.
A balloon safari is a truly unique way to view our wildlife. It lasts between 45 minutes and one hour, depending on the wind. It is available to those seven years and older. It involves an early start, around 3 am, to allow the balloon to take off around 6 am. The age limit for this activity is seven years and above. A third-party company will run the trip, and you will celebrate with a glass of champagne and a full English breakfast. You will also be given a certificate. Please get in touch with us for prices and advice on how to fit this into your schedule. We will be happy to arrange this exciting trip for you.
Although there are no real concerns over the security of valuables, we provide a padlocked box for your comfort. For example, the box is large enough to accommodate a bag or a large camera lens.
All three daily meals are included, and you can choose to have a picnic lunch if you are on a full-day safari during your stay. We can also provide dinner outdoors, beneath the starry skies, if you wish. We have a great selection of wines and spirits to enjoy with your meal. In addition, our camp lets your driver-guide join you for your evening meal, should you wish.
The Great Migration generally passes by the camp location twice yearly, first between April and June and secondly between October and November.
