Maramboi Tented Lodge has cottage-style tents built with thatched roofs and solid wood floors and finished with African styling. They are sited on elevated wooden platforms, which give great viewing from their furnished private terraces. The lake and the Rift Valley are both visible.

Guests can choose from doubles with king-size beds, twin rooms with two singles, or a family option with interconnecting tents. All units have a bathroom with a shower.

Maramboi Tented lodge is located near the shores of beautiful Lake Manyara and not far from the huge Tarangire National Park. 

The lodge is 114 kilometers or approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes by road from Arusha. An alternative route is to fly from Arusha Airport to the Lake Manyara Airstrip, as flights operate daily. It is then a one-hour vehicle journey to the lodge. Flights connect to and from both Serengeti and Zanzibar.

With stunning views across the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara, Maramboi Tented lodge consists of a principal dining and relaxation building with an adjoining swimming pool. There is an evening campfire, perfect for a drink. Dinner can be served inside or out.

Guests can book a Suite Room (double or twin), a family option (with interconnecting tents), triple or quadruple room.

Each room features an en suite bathroom, mosquito nets, mineral water, tea/coffee-making, an internal phone, and a room fan.

Yes, there are hairdryers in the rooms.

Guests are always advised to drink bottled water at Maramboi Tented lodge and use the water in the taps for showers and washing. Use bottled water for cleaning your teeth, too.

Yes, there is an outdoor fireplace at Maramboi Tented lodge. From the nearby seating area, guests can enjoy watching the passing wildlife.

Yes, with advance notice, we can cater to most dietary requirements. Maramboi Tented Lodge recommends that you discuss your needs on arrival at the lodge. 

A ‘tipping box’ is available if you want to give a gratuity and any tips received are then shared amongst the lodge staff. We advise that you make your contribution at the time of your checkout.

Yes, the rooms have mosquito nets. We advise you also to bring your mosquito repellent.

It is useful to arrive at Maramboi Tented lodge with sufficient cash to pay for extra drinks and staff gratuities. Banknotes such as 5-dollar, 10-dollar, and 20-dollar bills are best. Poor network coverage in the parking area may mean the card machine is not always working. Most of the time, you can use US Dollars in Tanzania, particularly in tourist areas, and major credit cards are accepted at most hotels, lodges, and camps. However, we advise having some local currency on you if you want to purchase from a local shop. Major towns and airports have forex bureaus where you can exchange most major currencies such as US Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, etc.
